R-type - WIP

I've been slowly chipping away at another art-project.  R-type II side-art!
I'm going for a more painterly style for this one.
Here's my take on the R-9C ship:

Dobkeratops has been rebuilt into Subatomic, (also known as Zabtom) the first boss in R-type II. Here's my take:

Banner image!

Finally got around to creating a banner image/logo.

Started off as a crazy idea, doodled during a meeting:

El Diablo Mecanico

This one's an oldie: I did a control panel on a cabinet for a former employer.
Luchadore style!

Control Panel:

Artwork applied to the Control Panel. The CP supports 4-players, and host the original Wico joysticks that was already installed:

Finished cabinet.
The Marquee was created by a co-worker of mine, and the side art is part of the company's logo:

Satan's Hollow 2

Currently working on an art project for a cabinet that has a Satan's Hollow arcade theme. Satan's Hollow 2 never existed, but my client wants the art to be an update of the original arcade art kit, something new and cool looking, but keeping to the retro feel of that cabinet BITD.

Here's a look at the side-art:

This is the original art:

Stay tuned for the CP, Marquee and Bezel art!

Blanka Arcade Stick

A Qanba RAFQ3 that I customized for my favourite Street Fighter character. The stick features Sanwa parts, and a Akishop PS360+ PCB. Aaaaaaaaaroooooo!

I chose the Hyper Fighting Blanka colours, cause it's the colours I've always played Blanka as. I enjoy the 6-button layout, better than 8 because it's like playing on my cabinets. I never really liked the addition of the 7th and 8th button in newer arcade sticks.

Wiring is nothing too fancy, just kept it clean.

Arcade Art: Geometry Wars - retro arcade side-art

This ones for a dedicated Geometry Wars cabinet that I was commissioned for. My customer wanted a retro-look, reminiscent of Tempest, Xevious, and Gravitar artwork.

Arcade Art: The Big Lebowski and friends

Arcade Art: Galaga Tribute

Arcade Art: DK and Pac-man's Pact.

Arcade Art: Major Havok from the front!

Created this for a KLOV member who converted an Atari 720° arcade cabinet to Major Havok . The marquee originally featured the main character running away from the audience, but he wanted to have him drawn from the front view. Most of all the previous artwork is drawn of him from behind.

The end result:

The cabinet was beautifully converted, and is pretty awesome to see Major Havoc running on a larger (25") vector monitor.

Arcade art: Robotron Study

Arcade Art: Pac-man's pack!
